The King's Chapel Brownstone Urn is a nineteenth century American antique carved stone urn supported by a round socle and base sitting on an octagonal plinth. Around the bowl, there is a carved clover like motif surrounding the bowl. Inside the bowl, you can see the chisel marks of hand carving. It is beautifully weathered and in excellent condition given it's age and use.
From a Boston Estate.
Urna in Latin means a pot, jar, or vessel. Urns as garden ornaments are stately, classical, and can be made in many different materials. They are perfect alone or in pairs and can be left empty or filled with plants and greens.
